Westminster Abbey Cafe

Grade I Listed

Fluid Structures were chosen to act as part of a special team involved in the refurbishment of a 13th Century part of the Abbey. The work involved removal of non medieval walls, lowering of existing ground levels, introduction of a lift shaft and various alterations to accommodate a new cafe space.

The work was executed under the supervision of the consultant archaeologist to Westminster Abbey and all statutory bodies including the Westminster Abbey fabric Commissioner.

The Cellarium project was part of a suite of projects to expand the Abbey’s facilities and to improve catering and retail accommodation.
