Oakwood House, Hastings

Oakwood House in Hastings is a new build three-storey building occupying a site of irregular shape, with a very approximate overall dimension of 120m x 100m.

The site is surrounded by woodland but bordered to the east is the neighbouring property of ‘Rock Wood’.

The private house is comprised of a two storey basement (with pool). The topography of the site is such that the lower ground partially forms a basement structure. The basement is constructed in exposed reinforced concrete, bearing on the Ashdown Formation which comprises fine grained sandstones interbedded with siltstones.
