Hotel St. John

The project consisted of the refurbishment and upgrade of an existing hotel and restaurant building located in a conservation area between the high profile tourist venue of Leicester Square and Chinatown.

The brief included provision of 16 air conditioned boutique hotel rooms in addition to a new ground floor restaurant and kitchen, all served by a new lift.

On a constrained site the major challenge was to maximise the efficiency of the internal planning, providing high quality spaces within a retained historic structure that has been significantly altered overtime, in an ad hoc manner.
