"Fluid see engineering differently to many other engineers, who simply apply known knowns. They see engineering as a constant search for solutions, an adventure or exploration into the unknown. Their work is a wonderful combination of art and mathematics; it defines the line where art meets science and where the poetic meets the intrinsic properties of materials." Our Practice

Engineering is a creative approach which allows thoughts and ideas to manifest themselves as architecture, space and objects in the physical world. It makes use of mathematics and science, knowledge of materials and allows us to determine the stresses that physical objects should endure. It allows us to apportion sizes and thicknesses based on our knowledge of the material being employed.
In this practice these skills are essential to carry out the work we do. However, we believe that good engineering reaches much further than this and it is this philosophy that differentiates Fluids approach from the general engineering practices. We are interested in the process of making, fabricating and sequencing.

Our Practice

At Fluid we encourage people to develop and challenge themselves no matter how they want their careers to progress.

We are delighted to announce that MLM and Fluid Structures have merged.

Together we are creating a leading London Design practice with a reputation for being different. Fluid remain an independent Business within the MLM Group and will be collaborating with MLM to provide an exceptional engineering design team. We will continue to deliver exciting projects across the capital, throughout the UK and internationally.
