"Fluid see engineering differently to many other engineers, who simply apply known knowns. They see engineering as a constant search for solutions, an adventure or exploration into the unknown. Their work is a wonderful combination of art and mathematics; it defines the line where art meets science and where the poetic meets the intrinsic properties of materials." Our Practice

Engineering is a creative approach which allows thoughts and ideas to manifest themselves as architecture, space and objects in the physical world. It makes use of mathematics and science, knowledge of materials and allows us to determine the stresses that physical objects should endure. It allows us to apportion sizes and thicknesses based on our knowledge of the material being employed.
In this practice these skills are essential to carry out the work we do. However, we believe that good engineering reaches much further than this and it is this philosophy that differentiates Fluids approach from the general engineering practices. We are interested in the process of making, fabricating and sequencing.

Our Practice

At Fluid we encourage people to develop and challenge themselves no matter how they want their careers to progress.

Following Fluid Structures' merger with MLM Group in 2016, we are delighted to announce that MLM Group are now part of Sweco - Europe’s leading engineering, environment and design consultancy which plans and designs the communities and cities of the future.

It is still business as usual – customers are still at the centre of our business and we are still focused on your local projects. Being acquired by Sweco gives us the opportunity to provide you with a stronger multi-disciplinary offering that covers a greater geographic footprint – both in the UK and throughout Europe.
