The project involves the construction of a new aluminium and timber staircase in a private residence in North London. The stair consists of timber treads (American Black Walnut) spanning onto cast aluminium strings (grade LM6). The form of the string was developed using 3 dimensional CAD software in conjunction with the development of half scale timber models.
