The facade work involved the design of an external facade screen for the new Reiss store in Los Angeles. The screen consisted of toughened laminated glass with a screen printed dot matrix to restrict the solar gain into the shop front and create a semi-intimate space. The glass was supported on a steel frame setback to create a flush external finish. The load was transferred to the frame using countersunk bolt fixings, which were designed to be adjustable where they connected onto the steel support frame.
