The existing property is being fully refurbished with the extension of the basement into the rear garden and the construction of a swimming pool. Above the pool at garden level there is a 2.3 meter diameter pond with a glass bottom. Fluid have been engaged to design this element which must be as transparent as possible and have no visible steelwork. The work involved analysing the system for various load cases, temperature effects and identifying the "Break Safe" pathways.
