"Could Architecture inform writing and play structure in a liberating way?"

Fluid have been working with Nick Helm (Architect) and Paul Jepson (Artistic Director) on the proposal for a 4D Theatre. 4D Theatre is a research and development project that has resulted from an analytical study of theatre types and now proposes to develop the idea in the field through live theatre. Unlike the cinema, theatre can explore a human sense of story in a real three dimensional environment. The idea of 4D Theatre is to make an opportunity of our sense of space around us. In our initial design for the theatre, the space is a landscape of levels articulated by walls or vertical supports so that the theatre can be transformed but not in the traditional format of end stage etc.
